Well,
this days of pullotion questions, do give some exeptional high
gasprices.
Many discuss the way around it,the type of carbs to use, and
other.
I wanna try another way: TBI ,
( Throttle
Body
Injection ) This type of inductionshould
give a lot of benefits of lower gas consuption, and quicker response on
acceleration, and perhaps more power.
The technics should have gone forward, and
carburated´cars
is difficult to find today.
When you make a search on the ´net, mostly Jeeps,
and Mopar &
Ford sixes, has done this convertion. Its difficult
to get much info about the results.
A friend donatet a TBI setup from an -87 4.3l GM
V6.
but got some loss of sensor/ignition components.
First i reorganize the wiring to suit the engine, and
remove unneeded wires. This tip was given of www.binderbulletin.com
forum. It shows easy the changes in the diagram, and a lot of links to
the specifics.
The resource site of the www.bustedjeep.com
give the way to do the convertion.
After stripping the wrappingtape, relocated and
welded the wires right on the ECM box, it looked like this:

All rerouted and
rewrapped.
Markings to the connections:
after all rewiring...i found the technical sulotion on problem by the
road, to be too difficult to make a easy fix, to pass further, and
stopped this convertion.
Carb is my way to make the way to problem solutions, gonna come home
any way or other, by the own wheels.....
