Well, after a great summer time with some cruize and partys, we´re back for customize..

This summer gave some answer on the build up,
good and bad!

Overall, peoples reactions at meetings and at the streets,
give me the "thumbs up" for the car..
When people stops and take movie when passing,
and tourists nearly chrashes to get a picture, the point
is taken for keeping up.

1.   A badly worn kingpin ruined some of the driving, and one of my fronttyre on the short use.
After check the type of bushing at spindels, and their easyness to be worn down, this was yet decided to be reworked for needle-bearings.

2.   Interior swap is started to Volvo 740 leather seats, and doorsides incorporated to the backseat.

3.   Measurment, checked for dick brake swap in front.  With use of the orginal hubs, BMW parts should be an easy conversation, or ?

4.   Rear light in the conniekit wasnt liked by police and removed/ reworked to function with red color as extra brakelight.

5.   The turn signals shutted down because circuit damage in Van steeringcolumn, reworked to function.

6.   Generator super voltage blow fuses, etc.and was changed to a one wire type.

7.   Old stereo with failures get changed to cd/mp3 player with 4 speakers in sidepanels front and rear.

8.   After used the conniekit deckextension
as seat, we´d reworked the conniekit holder to accept movement
to be layd down as table use.
( great on outdoor meetings...)

9.   Reworked orginal headlamps to get H4 bulbs, with bulleted crosses.

10. Changed parklight assembly at grilleends., used old bicyckle lamp welded into grillbar

11. Driveline function very well, but mpg. is in the higher state, carburator swap seems the sulotion.

12.  Did find short dropformed chromestrips( mc accessories )  for scoopopenings ,hood & shirts.

13.   Whats yet to be done?   Major exhaust work! Sound is not right! Splitted exhaust is needed
Interior need to be done in similar style/ color.
Exterior chromelists needs manufact.
Of course PAINT! Discs??

Decided to make new midseat console to fit against raer seat, and could be used as armrest. With rooms for CD´s and a small cofee table in front.

Sidepanels in interior is mocked up, and the foamcushing layer is glued. Panels make a lowering line from dash to the rear seat.
The upper parts will be done in roll´s & pleats
Slippin´& sliding in the wintertime.....
Spiketyres give the car pretty good handling , also on this conditions.
And to the "fanatics", theese cars was made for use,and the ease of handling was Chevy´s
 main slogan in theese years.....

Hood ornament from a -48 Ford, with green illuminating inside under the clear plastic top.
Beginned the search for dash knobs,or material for own fabricating
The idea of using something who already has been made another, make search for lipsticks/ perfume tops, or ?

MARCH 07=Still got some problems.

The servopump loosend and destroy the oilreservoar.
Runned out of gas, and when crankin, it didnt run and startet hanged.

Reworked the starter, Had to replace the end lockring, front bushing and some broken brushes,
Rearranged the mount  of oilreservoar for
the steering, if pump kiks, cant ruin it again!
Removed all guards/extensions.
Shortned front bumper to fit against fenders. Turned upside down and relocated/ reworked the mounts. Also lowered to suit the reshaped plate between grille and bumper. Welded shut mount -holes,to get a cleaner look as the original idea of build.

<<former                 past  >>
Grinded whitewall tyres are mounted with -57 Chevy rims who get the right shape to clearence of the discbrakes, who the former -62 Chevy didnt.
Dropped down, it sank to the ground as before, even if the tyres have a lagrer overall height. AWSOME!

Reworked manifold to splitted exhaust manifold. MIG welded in the garage, and ready for a better sound!
Need to rework exhaust pipes and mufflers, to connect at lakepipes both sides.

Reworked the hubcaps to hubmounted spinner
